P.A. Leone founded this company in 1955, in the years Syracuse was building fast and needed reliable tradesmen who stayed. He built a reputation on one idea: do the work right, charge fairly, and the customers will come back. They did. And they brought their children, and their children's children.

Today, Leone & Sons remains a family-owned, multi-generational shop. The address on Basin Street hasn't changed. The phone number has barely changed. The standard of work has not changed at all.

We're not a franchise. We don't have a dispatch center. When you call the shop number, you reach the shop.

Heritage & history

71 years on the Central New York trades.

Every decade brought something new — new materials, new codes, new technology. We learned each one. The first water heater we serviced in Syracuse was installed before the Turnpike opened. The last one was installed last week.

1955

Founded on Basin Street

P.A. Leone establishes the shop at 208 Basin Street, Syracuse. One family, one city, and a commitment to reliable tradework that Central New York could count on.

1960s

Syracuse's residential build-out

The great residential expansion across Clay, Camillus, and DeWitt. Leone & Sons roughed in bathrooms and kitchens across the metro. Some of that copper is still in service today.

1970s

Commercial expansion across CNY

Syracuse's commercial district grows. Leone & Sons moves into commercial plumbing, boilers, and steam systems — specialties that most shops would later abandon. We kept them.

1980s

Water heater warranty work begins

Named warranty service for A.O. Smith, Bradford White, Rheem, and Moen — relationships that hold to this day. CNY residents call the manufacturer and get directed to us.

1990s

Polybutylene, galvanized, and the great repipes

Thousands of homes in Central New York built with pipe that wouldn't last. Leone & Sons became one of the region's primary repipe contractors — copper and PEX, done right, warranted.

2000s

Tankless conversions & new construction

Syracuse's building wave. Leone & Sons sizes and plumbs some of the city's first tankless water heater installs. New construction rough-in for residential and commercial builders across CNY.

Today

Leone & Sons, still on Basin Street

Same shop. Same address. Same phone number (mostly). The Leone family carries the license and the legacy — the same standard of work started in 1955, with 71 years of Syracuse plumbing knowledge behind it.
